Afrobeats superstar Ayra Starr has officially confirmed that her third studio album, Amen, is scheduled for release in 2026.
The announcement came during a feature in Spotify’s Our Frequency zine (Issue 033), where the Mavin Records artist and Roc Nation signee discussed her personal and professional goals for the year.
The Celestial Being revealed that her focus for 2026 extends beyond music to personal growth.
“In 2026, I’m looking forward to learning how to cook more known Nigerian food, and my album, Amen,” Starr stated in the Spotify feature.
Starr continues to hold the position of the most-streamed female artist on Spotify in Nigeria. Industry analysts say the album’s timeline reflects a strategic shift toward quality control, following her 2025 management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
The upcoming album follows the massive success of her 2024 project, The Year I Turned 21, which became the first album by a female Nigerian artist to surpass one billion streams on Spotify. It also debuted on both the US Billboard 200 and the UK Official Albums Chart.
During the interview, the 23-year-old artist reflected on how her upbringing across West Africa shaped her artistry.
“Growing up in Benin and Nigeria, it was two different vibes. Lagos is almost like New York. Benin Republic has more like a beach vibe. Everywhere is, like, calm. Everybody is quiet, so I can’t put it into, like, a few words. It’s made me who I am,” she said.
As of January 2026, Ayra Starr has accumulated over 3.3 billion total streams across her catalog. While details about the tracklist or featured artists for Amen are yet to be revealed, the album is highly anticipated as the next phase of her global rise.
