Early Life

Ayobami Ajewole, professionally known as Woli Agba, was born on 20 November 1982 in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria, though he hails from Ijeda in the Oriade Local Government Area of Osun State. He completed his secondary education at Baptist Secondary School, Oke-Ado, Ibadan, before earning a degree in Economics from Lead City University, Ibadan, in 2004.

Career

Woli Agba began his entertainment journey in 2002, initially performing as part of a gospel dance and comedy trio alongside his brother, Femi Ajewole, in the Christian comedy group Alfa Sule. Over time, he developed his own distinctive style, blending Yoruba-language comedy with gospel themes and cultural references, delivered through the persona of a prophetic “Woli,” meaning senior prophet.

His viral Instagram comedy skits, rooted in church and gospel culture, brought him widespread national recognition, and he went on to found the Instagram Parish Ministry (IPM), an online church through which he shares both comedic content and inspirational, faith-based messages. Beyond comedy, Woli Agba works as an actor and singer, having built a career that blends entertainment with moral and spiritual messaging aimed at uplifting his audience.

Personal Life

Woli Agba married Olaife Ajewole on 8 April 2017, and the couple have two children, named Mighty and Marvelous.

With more than two decades in entertainment blending gospel comedy, ministry and music, Woli Agba remains one of Nigeria’s most influential faith-based comedic voices.
