Nigerian businessman Simon Guobadia has finally broken his silence after his recent deportation and divorce drama. Guobadia, who was deported to Nigeria after being released from ICE detention earlier this month, says he never expected things to end this way.

Speaking in a new interview, Simon Guobadia revealed he felt blindsided by his ex-wife, reality star Porsha Williams. According to him, she never gave any clear reason for filing for divorce. He said, “I kept asking, ‘Why did you file for a divorce?’ And she wouldn’t say anything. This felt like a coup. I was blindsided.”

The couple married for 14 months before Porsha filed for divorce in February. She later shared that she hired an immigration attorney after uncovering what she described as “complex” issues with Simon’s legal status. Porsha explained she felt their relationship was headed down a dark road.

However, Simon believes there was another motive behind her actions. He claims she targeted him for his wealth. “I think I was targeted. I was targeted from day one for financial reasons. When I filed for divorce from my previous ex-wife, she was in my DM praying for me. I think I was vulnerable then, and I entertained it. So it just snowballed from there,” he said.

Reflecting on their relationship, Simon admitted he rushed things by getting engaged within 30 days of meeting her. “Of course, I’m paying dearly for it,” he added.

Simon has also lost a prenup court case. The court ruled that he must pay Porsha $40,000 monthly in alimony for 15 months and cover her legal fees. However, he plans to appeal the decision. “This time around, I’ve chosen to challenge in court; to the Supreme Court if I have to,” he said.

Meanwhile, Porsha has moved on. She said she is done thinking about what could have been and is ready to focus on her life.
