Nollywood actress Teniola Aladese has raised serious concerns about her personal safety, revealing that repeated stalking incidents have forced her to stop walking alone within her residential estate in Lekki, Lagos.

The actress shared her experience during a recent episode of the That’s What She Said podcast, where she spoke candidly about how her sense of security has declined since relocating to the area. According to Aladese, the frequency of these encounters has drastically altered her daily routine.

“Walking was part of my routine in Magodo, but here in Lekki, I’ve had several instances where strange men followed me.”

Aladese compared her current living situation with her former residence in Magodo, Lagos State, where she once felt completely safe. She explained that walking alone, even late at night, was never a concern.

“I can’t walk alone in my estate, strange men follow me.”
“In Magodo, walking alone, even at 2:00 am, was perfectly normal there.”

The actress revealed that one particularly frightening encounter became a turning point. While she did not disclose the exact date, she described it as a near-miss that left her shaken.

“On this fateful day, it was God that saved me. Since then, I decided to buy and use a treadmill at home.”

Aladese’s account reflects growing concerns about safety in some upscale neighborhoods in Lagos. By moving her fitness routine indoors, she confirmed that she has officially stopped outdoor exercise in the Lekki axis to reduce the risk of harassment or physical harm.
