Early Life
Susan Ganchung Pwajok was born on January 15, 2003, in Lagos, Nigeria. She identifies as Berom, an ethnic group in Plateau State. Susan began her acting journey at the age of nine, showing remarkable talent early on. She completed her primary education at Parkview Greenwood Primary School in Ikoyi. As of 2022, she had not yet commenced her university education, expressing uncertainty about which course to pursue.
Susan has spoken publicly about her family background. During a live episode of her podcast, Surviving Lagos, she shared a personal story about being raised by her mother, Carol Pwajok, after her father abandoned them during her mother’s pregnancy.
Career
Susan Pwajok rose to fame in 2012 when she starred in the popular Nigerian TV series The Johnsons, portraying the character Blessing. Her performance made a lasting impression and gained her a strong fan base. She also appeared in Desperate Housewives Africa, which further established her as a talented young actress in the Nigerian entertainment industry.
Since her debut, Susan has worked with numerous filmmakers and production teams, taking on diverse roles in Nollywood. In addition to acting, she has ventured into content creation. She hosts the Surviving Lagos Podcast, where she discusses life experiences and societal topics. She also creates lifestyle vlogs for her YouTube channel, which has gathered over 15,000 subscribers.
Susanโs performance in comedy earned her recognition at the Africa Magic Viewersโ Choice Awards (AMVCA), where she won Best Actress in a Comedy Series, further cementing her reputation as a rising star in Nollywood.
