Early Life
Adam Garba, better known by his screen name Raba‑Gardama, grew up in Jos, Plateau State, Nigeria. He attended primary and secondary school in Jos, and later studied Banking and Finance at Nasarawa State University. From a young age, he felt drawn to performing he says acting wasn’t a choice but something that “chose him.
Career
Adam launched his entertainment career in acting without formal drama school training. He picked up acting and scriptwriting courses, and took drama classes during his school days. He first gained attention in Kannywood (Hausa-language cinema) and also works in English-language Nollywood films.
He played a key role in the 2020 film Voiceless, earning praise for his performance as Goni. Over the years, he has acted in a variety of films, including A Land Apart, Love Language, Hijack ’93, and A Lot Like Love. Alongside acting, he uses his voice talents, doing voice-over work for different projects.
Adam also mentors younger talent his younger brother Yousef Garba (a Big Brother Naija alumnus) credits him for guiding his career. He draws on his cultural roots and creative vision to tell compelling stories on screen, balancing roles in both Hausa and English media.
Adam Garba has built a dynamic career across linguistic and cultural lines. As a veteran in both Nollywood and Kannywood, he combines acting, voice work, modeling, and mentorship.
