Early Life
Victor Osuagwu hails from Mbaise Local Government Area in Imo State, southeastern Nigeria. He is the youngest of five children. Though born in Imo State, he spent much of his childhood in Rivers State, where his mother is from. Raised by his grandmother in Queens’ Town, Opobo, he began his primary education in Rivers State before returning to Imo State to complete primary and secondary school in the Udu autonomous community. Osuagwu furthered his studies at the University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State, where he earned a degree in Theatre Arts.
Career
Victor Osuagwu officially entered Nollywood in 1997 while still an undergraduate. He made his acting debut in the second part of the movie Evil Passion 2. Since then, he has built a strong reputation as a talented actor and remains active in the Nigerian film industry.
In 2015, Osuagwu became a brand ambassador for a major Nigerian multinational telecommunications company, GLO, reflecting his influence and popularity beyond acting.
Osuagwu’s career achievements include winning the City People Movie Special Recognition Award, honoring his contribution to Nigerian cinema.
Victor Osuagwu married Roseline Nchelem in 2002 after meeting her in 1990. They have four children together. Beyond his acting career, Osuagwu holds a traditional title as Ochibundu 1 of Udo Ancient Kingdom in Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area of Imo State, marking his status as a Nigerian chief.
