Early Life

Kenneth Obinna Okolie was born on February 21, 1984, and hails from Ihiala in Anambra State, Nigeria. He is the first of four children and comes from a close-knit Igbo family. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Valley View University in Ghana, laying a strong academic foundation before pursuing a career in entertainment.

Career

Okolie’s journey into the spotlight began unexpectedly in 2006 when he accompanied a friend to a modeling audition. Encouraged by the organizers to participate, he auditioned and was selected, launching a successful modeling career. His defining moment came in 2010 when he was crowned Mr Nigeria. Later that year, he represented the country at the Mister World pageant and emerged as the second runner-up.

In 2011, Okolie transitioned into acting another unexpected career move. Since then, he has built a respected presence in Nollywood with a variety of roles in romantic dramas, thrillers, and comedies. His performance earned him the City People Movie Award for Best Supporting Actor (English) in 2015, further solidifying his place in the Nigerian film industry.

Known for his charm and versatility, Okolie continues to impress on screen while remaining grounded in family life. He married Nwaka Jessica in 2017, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2019.
